1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using RoasterScore, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be legally able to enter into these terms in your country. If you use RoasterScore for a business or roaster, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it.
2. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
Do not impersonate another person or business, create deceptive accounts, transfer an account without permission, or attempt to bypass access controls.
3. Reviews and authentic participation
Scorecards must reflect a genuine experience with the coffee or purchase identified. You may not:
- submit fabricated, paid, coordinated, duplicate, or misleading ratings;
- manipulate rankings, votes, verification, or regional availability;
- review your own product without clearly authorized platform functionality;
- use bots, scraping, bulk account creation, or other abusive automation; or
- submit unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, infringing, malicious, or unsafe material.
4. Your content and photo rights
You keep ownership of content you submit, including photos, logos, product information, profile elements, and scorecards. You confirm that you own it or have all permissions needed to upload and share it, and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, image, intellectual property, or contractual rights.
You grant RoasterScore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, resize, adapt for display, verify, moderate, publish, and distribute your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the service. This license includes use by our technical providers. It ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup, legal, fraud-prevention, audit, or dispute records and content already lawfully shared by others.
Do not upload a photo unless you have the right to do so. Avoid visible faces, receipts with personal details, payment information, home addresses, or unrelated copyrighted material.
5. Moderation and verification
RoasterScore may use automated and human checks to assess image relevance, product-label matches, manipulation, safety, account signals, and compliance with these terms. Verification indicates that selected platform checks were satisfied; it is not a guarantee that every fact is accurate.
We may delay publication, limit visibility, request evidence, edit formatting, label, reject, remove, or retain a non-public moderation record of any contribution. We may suspend or close accounts for suspected fraud, repeated violations, legal risk, or harm to users or the platform. We may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
You can report a concern or request a review of a moderation decision through our contact form.
6. Roaster and product listings
Listings may be supplied by roasters, users, public sources, or our team. Owners can ask us to correct, claim, or remove business information, subject to identity and authority checks.
Prices, availability, origin, roast details, purchase links, and other listing information can change. Verify important details directly with the roaster before purchasing.
7. Ratings are opinions, not endorsements
Coffee ratings and rankings are subjective community opinions calculated from submitted mechanical scores. They are not professional certifications, safety assessments, medical or nutritional advice, investment advice, or guarantees of product quality.
RoasterScore does not endorse a roaster merely because it is listed or highly rated, and is not responsible for transactions, fulfillment, allergens, product claims, or disputes between users and third-party businesses.
8. RoasterScore property and acceptable access
The RoasterScore name, logo, design, software, original editorial material, and non-user databases are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership to you.
You may use the service for personal or legitimate business evaluation. You may not copy substantial parts of the database, reverse engineer protected components, interfere with operation or security, introduce malicious code, or use RoasterScore branding in a way that suggests authorization without written permission.
9. Availability, disclaimers, and liability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free data, permanent storage, or a particular ranking or business outcome. The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RoasterScore and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the service, third-party conduct, user content, purchases, data loss, or inability to access the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
10. Suspension, changes, and disputes
You may stop using RoasterScore at any time and request account deletion. We may change or discontinue features and may update these terms. Material changes will be identified by an updated date and, where required, additional notice.
Before starting a formal dispute, please use our contact form so we can try to resolve the issue. Governing law and forum depend on the operator, your location, mandatory consumer protections, and the circumstances of the dispute.
